Varieties: 100% Tinta de Toro

Production: Traditional maceration in stainless steel tanks, with 100% destemmed grapes, with 3 or 4 daily pumping overs, at a controlled fermentation temperature of 28-30 °C for 15-20 days. Subsequently, the wine is devatted and left to rest before being filled into barrels.

Barrel aging time: 12 to 20 months with racking every 3 or 6 months.

Ageing time in bottle: Minimum 12 months before marketing, resting on metal sleepers in insulated warehouses where the temperature never exceeds 18°C.

Barrel type: 90% American oak 10% French oak

Alcohol content: 14% – 14.5% Vol.

Tasting notes

Cherry red colour with good intensity.
Aroma: Oak ageing, with great bouquet, smoke and ash.
Palate: Very balanced, round and persistent in the retronasal passage, with great complexity and elegance.
Serving temperature: 18 °C.
Recommended for meats, roasts, game and aged cheeses.
